Cortez photoNovember 2007 Bay Oaks alum Victor Cortez appeared with the US Men's Under-20 National team in Argentina playing the full 90 in a 1-1 draw with the host Argentina U20's. Cortez also appeared in another 1-1 draw against Argentina's top club team, River Plate. Among Victor's teammates in the U20 pool were familiar names such as Freddy Adu and Josi Altidore.CortezPortrait

A native of El Sobrante, Victor played with Bay Oaks as a U13 before leaving for U.S. Soccer national residency camp in Bradenton, Florida.

Victor went on to play at Miramonte High School where he was a four year varsity player. After graduation last year, Victor played at USF where he was a freshman starter and after a successful fall season, he was selected to the WCC All-Freshman team.

 

kamani hill photoJune 2007 Bay Oaks alum Kamani Hill was capped for the first time when he appeared with the US Mens National Team in their international friendly match vs. China in San Jose.

Kamani is a Bay Oaks alumnus who also played at Berkeley High School before going on to play at UCLA and professionally in Germany with the club VfB Wolfsburg.

Kamani's European experience brought him to the attention of US National Team coach Bob Bradley who added Hill to the 2007 player pool and he continues to train with the senior side as they prepare for the 2010 World Cup.
