Organize a pre-season team meeting (Barbecue, parents vs kids game etc.)

Discuss coaching philosophy, team goals, player expectations, parents expectations, sideline behavior, transportation, training schedule, game schedule, tournament schedule, sportsmanship etc.

Have a parent commit to helping you out as a Team Manager.

Team manager should help you with the administrative and managerial aspect of running the team so that you can focus on the coaching aspect.

Many teams have a functional Phone tree set up.
